Why We Built This Site
Louisiana allows public examination of many court records, yet the first challenge is often locating the custodian. The Evangeline Parish Clerk of Court keeps the Thirteenth Judicial District Court file, including district civil and criminal matters. Ville Platte City Court, justice-of-the-peace courts, and mayor's courts do not become parish-clerk files merely because they sit in the parish. Louisiana has no confirmed single statewide public trial-docket search for every case, so the correct office matters. We collect the official contacts, portal limits, request routes, and plain-language record terms needed to begin with the right custodian.

This is a privately run reference site, not an office of a Louisiana court, clerk, or agency. Its limits are important:
- We do not retrieve an official docket or case file for a reader.
- We cannot set, change, or confirm a hearing for a court.
- We have no power to seal, remove, or revise any court entry.
- We do not issue certified copies of orders, dockets, or other records.
- We do not provide legal advice about an individual matter.
- We cannot promise that every published phone number, fee, or setting remains current.
Only the clerk or court that maintains a case can provide its official or certified docket material. A reference page can identify that office, but cannot substitute for its record.
